  Testing KallistiOS and the Compilers

Now that we have the GCC and KOS compiled it's time to get aquainted with KallistiOS and how to use it. For this purpose I have written a small, useless example program that displays a textscreen with KallistiOS BiosFont Routines on your TV screen. (it's fairly simple but serves the purpose. It was my first trial whatsoever doing something with the DC) You may download the sourcecode and the Makefile here.

This part of the tutorial is split up into three parts:

[Writing and understanding firstexample.c]
Here we'll go step-by-step through the sourcecode of firstexample.c

[Compiling firstexample.c]
Just what the heading says. Compiling the firstexample.c

[Uploading the resulting ELF File to your Dreamcast ]
Here we'll upload the resulting binary to the Dreamcast and see if it works

Go to the sourceforge homepage of KallistiOS
